Elina Kontzoglou is a psychologist and psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, and adults. She graduated from the Department of Psychology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2004 and obtained her Master’s degree (MSc) "Dyslexia, multilingual environment and using new technology to deal with it" from the University of Ioannina, focusing on learning difficulties and special education. In 2016, she completed her training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at the Hellenic Association for Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy. She is also authorized to administer the WISC-V (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, Fifth Edition), a tool used to assess the cognitive abilities of children and adolescents. Mrs Kontzoglou's professional experience includes collaboration with the Developmental Pediatrics Center "A. Fokas" at the Hippokration Hospital in Thessaloniki (2006-2007) and a decade of work in a child protection organization in Thessaloniki (2007-2017). Since 2006, she has offered psychotherapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults, utilizing an integrative approach that incorporates principles from cognitive-behavioral, systemic, and psychoanalytic therapies. In addition, she supports and coordinates teams of specialists in educational settings. Continuous professional development is a key part of her practice, with ongoing training in areas such as play therapy for children, grief processing, bereavement support, and crisis management in families, with specialized training from the Center for Child Mental Health in London. Mrs Kontzoglou has been a member of the “ProsOpsi” Institute Psychotherapy team since 2016.
