Sissy Bargiota is a Clinical Psychologist and an Existential and Systemic Family Psychotherapist. She graduated the School of Psychology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She holds a master’s degree (MSc) in "Neuroscience, Language, and Communication" from University College London (UCL). Mrs Bargiota gained working experience in various London Schools, the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, and the Tavistock Clinic of the NHS, where she specialized in symbolic play and conducted research on "Theory of Mind.”
Upon returning to Greece, Mrs Bargiota completed her training in Systemic Family Therapy and Existential Psychotherapy, in Athens (Antistixi Mental Health Institute). She holds expertise in a broad variety of therapeutic work with adults, children, and families. She has offered her services both in the private and public health sector (the Psychiatric Hospital of Thessaloniki, Papafio Residential Child Protection Unit and the Municipality of Neapolis-Sikeon).
Mrs. Bargiota has completed training in the Relationship Development Intervention (RDI), the 1st Psychiatric Clinic of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki/University Hospital of Thessaloniki Papageorgiou and is currently obtaining an MSc in Applied Theology with a special view in the field of trauma-related dynamics, post-traumatic stress and the process of forgiveness.
Mrs Bargiota is a member of the “ProsOpsi” Institute Psychotherapy team.
